At the close in Paris, the rose 0.21%, while the index added 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the were Atos SE (PA:), which rose 3.24% or 2.12 points to trade at 67.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) added 2.59% or 0.342 points to end at 13.536 and Accor SA (PA:) was up 2.48% or 0.94 points to 38.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Safran SA (PA:), which fell 2.02% or 2.85 points to trade at 138.00 at the close. Vivendi SA (PA:) declined 1.97% or 0.50 points to end at 24.92 and L’Oreal SA (PA:) was down 1.20% or 2.90 points to 237.80.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (PA:) which rose 6.20% to 133.60, Imerys SA (PA:) which was up 4.80% to settle at 37.52 and Compagnie Plastic Omnium SA (PA:) which gained 4.67% to close at 24.67.

The worst performers were Edenred SA (PA:) which was down 3.97% to 42.58 in late trade, Mercialys SA (PA:) which lost 2.44% to settle at 12.37 and Euronext (PA:) which was down 2.30% to 70.05 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 319 to 245 and 94 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 7.01% to 14.66.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.43% or 6.45 to $1487.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.00% or 0.54 to hit $53.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.16% or 0.69 to trade at $58.73 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1152, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8593.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 97.023.
